Hey there! I currently study mechanical engineering at Strathclyde University in Glasgow and I am looking to tutor maths and physics over the summer, upto SQA Higher level. Personally, I feel that the way maths is generally taught in schools in Scotland leaves much to be desired and can be very boring. This was certainly my experience during my school years.
My personal teaching style is to show you what maths truly represents, how it can be applied to the real world and to explain to you WHY you are learning it. With regard to Physics, it is important to distinguish between concepts and equations. The concepts are what are truly important; the equations and maths are in some sense just noise and procedure.
I hope to be able to show you that maths especially can be extremely interesting and even fun once you feel confident in the subject and of course to prepare you for any exams you may have coming up.
