About Mira
With more than 2 years of tutoring experience and an MSc in Radiochemistry, I bring a fresh and practical approach to Chemistry. I specialise in food chemistry and nutritional science, helping students connect scientific concepts to real-world choices about food and health. My lessons focus on macromolecules, additives, and metabolic processes that form the foundation of nutritional chemistry. Students learn how these elements impact both the body and food systems. I use tools such as dietary analysis and food product design to make Chemistry interactive. We also examine chemical reactions in cooking—why bread rises, why chocolate melts, and why flavours change when heated. My teaching style is friendly and clear. I make sure students understand not only the ""what"" but also the ""why"" behind chemical principles. Learning with me means building knowledge that supports both academic success and everyday life. Chemistry is everywhere, and together we’ll uncover how it makes food both healthy and enjoyable.

In my Chemistry lessons, I use a structured and student-friendly method. Organic chemistry is full of rules, but when taught step by step, it becomes much easier. I start with nomenclature, functional groups, and isomerism, ensuring the basics are strong. Only then do I guide students into reaction mechanisms and multi-step synthesis. I design lessons that connect theory with problem-solving, helping learners understand not just what happens but why it happens. Flowcharts, structural diagrams, and examples from real chemistry make the subject engaging. I always give detailed feedback so students know how they’re progressing. My teaching style supports learners preparing for exams as well as those aiming for careers in fields like environmental science or marine biology. With me, you’ll see that organic chemistry is not about memorisation—it’s about building logical steps. This approach makes students confident in handling both academic and practical challenges.
