About Sydney
I am a graduate of Parsons School of Design, graduating with a 4 year BFA degree in Womenswear. I have spent the last 10 years designing for contemporary brands from New York to Los Angeles. I am interested in working with creative individuals from children to those interested in working on their portfolio.

About the lesson

I tailor each session specifically for you to help you achieve your goals.
Each class we will break down 5 key steps to designing a collection and learn the overall process for bringing a collection to life.
1. Moodboard - This will involve pulling inspiration for what you would like to design. We will create a mood board that includes direction for silhouettes, color palettes, fabric, and fit.
2. Sketching - You will learn how to sketch your garment by hand OR computer.
2. Fabric selection - You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with different types of fabric, everything from woven to knits and select the fabric for your collection.
3. Patternmaking - Intro to pattern making.
4. Sewing - Final step in making your collection!
