About Barbara
My name is Barbara Guillaud, and I am from Paris, France. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Relations at Monash University here in Melbourne. I have a very literary background and a strong passion for the French language and culture; I notably achieved a perfect score of 20/20 in French at the French Baccalauréat. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and love for French with students of all levels. I am patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping you reach your goals, whether it’s improving your conversation skills, preparing for exams, or exploring French literature and writing.

I have had the pleasure of taking French lessons with Barbara, and I will recommend her to anyone I know who wishes to improve their French. From our first lesson, Barbara has been diligent, organised, and supportive, and has always ensured that each session is tailored to my specific goals and needs.
We have focused primarily on speaking and conversation, and Barbara’s approach has been both engaging and effective. She has provided some excellent examples and exercises to improve listening and comprehension, and she encourages open discussion on a wide range of topics, which makes every lesson beneficial and enjoyable.
