About Jack
Hello! My name is Jack, I'm a student at the University of Oxford and an experienced tutor. I've worked professionally as a tutor for the last two years, but have always enjoyed teaching and helping others understand things, whether through previously volunteering to help younger students at my secondary school or supporting my three younger siblings with their schoolwork. Outside of tuition and my studies, I enjoy reading, walking in the countryside, and lifting weights. I'd love to support you and help you achieve the best grades you can.

My teaching ethos focuses on bringing up weak topic areas to a strong level. I 'diagnose' these topic areas either through discussion or working through past exam problems together. I then clarify these areas through a combination of initial explanation, working as a 'duo' on problems, and supporting the student to feel exam-confident in tackling problems alone. My lessons last 1 hour and are conducted online via Google Meet. I have taught over 450 hours to numerous GCSE and A-Level students in Maths, Biology and Chemistry over the last two years.
