About Joseph
I am a research fellow in pure mathematics at the University of Bristol, having recently completed my PhD at the University of Oxford.
I have been teaching mathematics in various forms for 7+ years. This includes 1-1 private tuition, running tutorials at a variety of Oxford colleges, large group teaching, and even lectures.

I offer lessons in mathematics at all levels, from GCSE up to degree-level mathematics. My teaching philosophy is to focus on understanding rather than rote memorisation, ensuring that students have a strong foundation to build on in their future studies.
I have previously worked with many students to help them through the university application process, with many success stories. During my time at Oxford, I served as an admissions interviewer and MAT marker for several years. I aim to bring this experience to my lessons, to give prospective applicants an idea of what to expect, and of what's truly important at each stage of the process.
Lessons are typically an hour in length, though this can of course be adjusted to meet the needs of the student.
