About Ali

I graduated with a BSc in Physics with Theoretical Physics with first class honours at Imperial College London where I scored an average of 80.5% in year 1, 82.01% in year 2, 73.47% in year 3 and gained a place on the Dean's list (top 10% in the year) in years 1 & 2. I ranked 17th/239, 8th/244 and 21st/230 in years 1,2 and 3 respectively.

I'm now taking a year out of education before going to Oxford to do an MSc in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics in 2023. Previously, I attended sixth form at The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School.

"Learn well, understand the subject and then play the system."

Hi, I'm Ali. I just obtained degree in BSc Physics with Theoretical Physics with first class honours at Imperial College London where I scored an average of 80.5% in year 1, 82.01% in year 2, 73.47% in year 3 and gained a place on the Dean's list (top 10% in the year) in years 1 & 2.

I was in the same boat as you. I finished year 13 in 2018 with fantastic marks after much trial and error, so I'm familiar with today's school system and how frustrating the exam system can sometimes be. I'm here to tell you the stuff that I wish I was told when I was in your position.

I've fumbled around for many years trying to find the most effective ways to study that will directly translate to exam marks so that you don't have to. I'm here to tell you what matters and what is and isn't worth your time in a friendly peer-to-peer fashion. I will tell you where to find new linear spec questions, teach you effective note taking, give you my personal notes and teach you how to maximise results while minimising struggle. After learning and understanding the material over the course of the year, come March time you just want to know that you will have something to show for it in the exam. Unfortunately, the system is not perfect and understanding does not always transfer to grades, you need to play the examination game. I will teach you how to "cheat" the system by knowing what examiners want, being aware of how mark schemes are written and presenting your work as best as possible. I'm also free to contact between lessons for quick help.

If you've been fumbling around too, I'm here for you.

**I also offer personal statement help. My own personal statement was accepted by Imperial, UCL, King's and Warwick. I have helped different people write personal statements for a range of different degrees including: UG Radiology (accepted into first choice university (University of Hertfordshire)), UG Psychology (yet to submit) and PG Restorative Dentistry (accepted into UCL Eastman Dental Institute).
