About Jonathan
I’m a passionate tutor with a diverse background, including professional experience in space-tech and finance, and a love for learning that drives my teaching. Recently, I had the chance to compete on University Challenge, which reinforced my broad knowledge base and enthusiasm for problem-solving. I enjoy helping students grasp complex ideas by making them engaging and accessible, whether in STEM subjects or general knowledge. Outside of tutoring, I’m working toward my dream of becoming an astronaut, and I love travelling, staying active, and exploring new challenges—qualities I bring into my lessons to inspire my students.

My lessons typically range from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the student’s needs and goals. I focus on helping students develop a broad and deep understanding of the subject, ensuring they can approach problems from multiple perspectives. With an MSc in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics from Oxford and a BSc in Astrophysics from UCL, I have experience tutoring A-level physics, maths, and first-year undergraduate astrophysics. My lessons are tailored to all ages and abilities—nothing is too trivial to be taught thoroughly and thoughtfully.
