About Thomas
I am an academic mathematician, in between research jobs. I have over 12 years of experience with teaching in various forms, from high school tutoring and exam training to university lecturing and collegiate tutorials. I am looking forward to applying my experience to A level tutoring, and to give my students a chance to not just get good at maths, but also enjoy it.

My way of teaching mathematics starts by understanding my student's intuition and level of knowledge. Building from this, I will guide the student to link their intuition to the abstract, giving them ample room to develop their own insights. This fosters a deep understanding of the specific topic, while simultaneously providing the student with the tools to make learning maths easier, quicker and more fun.

He helped my daughter to prepare for her Admissions test (MAT). He was patient and thorough and encouraged her to work through her own thought process in order to find answers and has helped to increase her confidence.
