About Julia (MSc Oxford)
Hi there! I’m Julia, an academic tutor and university admissions coach. I completed my undergraduate studies in Liberal Arts at University College Maastricht, and then moved on to the University of Oxford University for my Master’s, graduating with First-Class Honours. I'm highly interdisciplinary, curious, and encouraging — I love working with students from all backgrounds! I have more than 9 years of experience as a proofreader and writer, helping students with essay and dissertation writing in most disciplines. I have also worked as a university admissions coach for 2 agencies and on a freelance basis for 4+ years, supporting students from all over the world getting into Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, Princeton, UC Berkeley and other international universities. I work with students at all levels, tailoring support to each individual’s strengths, goals, and areas for growth. I'm an Oxford Graduate, Top Honours (UK First-Class) with 4+ years of experience as an admissions coach and tutor. I have successfully guided students into Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, KCL, Edinburgh, UC Berkeley, Princeton and other leading universities. I provide personalised, strategic guidance for your university applications, focusing on essay writing, CV creation, interview preparation, and application planning if required. My approach combines targeted feedback and insider insight into top universities’ expectations, helping you present your interests in a compelling and authentic way. I know how stressful applications can feel, and love helping students feel more confident in their application process! I also help with essay writing and review in almost any discipline (exceptions: physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science), from brainstorming ideas and developing a clear structure to polishing arguments, concise language, and academic referencing. Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes, depending on your needs and stage of the application process. For document editing and text review, a meeting is not necessarily required.
