About Danius Jean
I studied Mathematics at the University of Warwick (BSc) and completed a Master’s in Statistics at the University of Oxford. Over the past five years, I’ve tutored dozens of students in A-Level Maths and Further Maths, helping many of them achieve top grades and secure places at competitive universities. I particularly enjoy teaching the more abstract and logical areas of Further Maths — such as complex numbers, matrices, proof by induction, and differential equations — and helping students understand not just how to solve problems, but why the methods work. My lessons are always tailored to the student: some need help building confidence, others want to stretch themselves with challenging problems or entrance exam prep. Whatever your goals, I’ll help you get there with clear explanations, logical thinking, and a structured approach to learning.

Further Maths can be challenging, but with the right guidance it becomes much more manageable — and even enjoyable. My lessons are designed to help you build a deep understanding of complex topics like matrices, complex numbers, proof by induction, differential equations, and hyperbolic functions, as well as applied modules like mechanics, statistics, or decision maths. I focus on clear, step-by-step explanations that help you connect abstract ideas to logical reasoning, so you're not just memorising, but truly understanding. Lessons are tailored to your pace and goals — whether you're aiming for an A*, preparing for STEP, MAT or university entrance, or just need help keeping up with the syllabus. We'll work through exam-style questions, build problem-solving strategies, and target weaker areas so you can approach the exam with confidence. I'm happy to support students across all major exam boards (Edexcel, OCR, AQA), and I always adapt my teaching to the specific modules you're studying.
