About Sarah
Personal Description:
Hi, I'm an Oxford University Law graduate, currently working as a primary school teacher in West London. I completed the prestigous Teach First teaching programme and am now the head of Years 5 and 6 and Literacy co-ordinator at my school, rated Ofsted Outstanding.
I have taught in Early Years, KS1, lower KS2 and upper KS2., thus having knowledge of both the EYFS and national curriculum as well as general teaching pedagogy.
I can offer tutoring in English, Maths, Geography, History and Science at a primary level.
Tutoring Approach:
I have an inclusive approach to teaching, believing every pupil can succeed by adopting a growth mind-set. Essentially, I would argue that one has to get it wrong first to get it right, and therefore we can learn through clarifying misconceptions and working hard to achieve.
I believe tutoring is very much an individual process, tailored to each student and so am happy to accommodate according to which individual child needs.

Perfect! Wonderful Tutor
Sarah has been helping my 7 year old daughter with Maths and English for a few weeks now, and she has made great progress already. Sarah is approachable, warm and friendly and immediately put my daughter at ease. She is very inventive, finding new and interesting ways to engage Rowan in the lessons and I feel that she is really helping to build her confidence and nurture a positive attitude towards these subjects, as well as improve her skills. So pleased we found her and would have no hesitation in recommending her.
