About Rufin
Hi, thanks for viewing my profile. I recently graduated from Oxford University with a First Class degree in geography and the second highest mark in my year, having also won a scholarship in 2016 for academic merit. I am currently working as a tutor specialising in geography but also teaching history, exam and essay technique, study skills and many more.
I am really friendly and competent and understand that to have an effective partnership the student must trust in the tutor's own ability. Thus, I always work hard for my clients behind the scenes, ensuring I am covering the curriculum in its entirety and personalising my teaching to each student's needs.
I have 3 years' experience as a tutor mainly through my previous job in a language school, although I also have volunteered as a GCSE geography tutor in an under-resourced school. I have worked with students of all ages and abilities and as the oldest of 6 children, I am very patient and easygoing!
