About Karun
I've been working as a tutor since I graduated from Oxford back in 2015.
I count myself lucky to have worked with so many fantastic students.
To me, a great student is someone who gives it their all. I've seen people achieve great things all because they are committed to working on the things they find hard.
I view myself as someone who helps others recognise their innate ability to learn and get better at things.
I like to take a focused but compassionate approach to learning. I take things as fast or as slow as the student likes. Feedback is important to me too - as I view tutoring as a partnership, rather than as someone telling a student what to do or think.
I'm a writer and love unusual words. I also love a good one-liner!

Hi, I'm Karun!
Every student is unique and requires an approach tailored towards their
I spend the first session understanding what you are looking to achieve and when you'd like to achieve it. Then I'll work with you to build a plan and help you hit your study goals.
I've worked with people from all kinds of backgrounds and at different levels. I particularly love helping students who don't consider themselves 'academic' or who might have anxiety about a certain subject.
Each lesson is an hour. I work with students across lots of humanities / essay-based subjects. The most popular subjects are English, History and Religious Studies.
I also help students with Oxbridge interview prep.
