About Emma
My name is Emma. I'm 22 years old and I live in Galway, Ireland.
I have been playing music for as long as I can remember.
I began learning the piano when I was seven years old, and have absolutely loved it since my first lesson.
I completed Grade 8 five years ago.
I mainly play classical pieces, pop pieces and traditional music.
I can read and teach sight music but I personally play by ear, and try to teach my students this ability.
Apart from the piano, I can also play the concertina, accordion and the tin whistle.

My approach to piano teaching is centered around creating a balanced and enjoyable learning experience, combining technical skill development with a love for music. I focus on building a strong foundation in music theory, finger technique, and sight-reading while ensuring students develop a personal connection to the instrument. I tailor lessons to the student’s goals and interests, incorporating a mix of classical pieces, modern songs, and improvisation to keep them engaged. I emphasize consistent practice, using creative exercises to improve coordination and musicality. Most importantly, I strive to make the piano a source of joy and expression, encouraging students to explore their own musicality while steadily improving their skills.
My piano lessons last an hour.
I have completed Grade 8 from the RIAM piano cycle.
I am available to teach beginners and intermediate students.
