About Erin
As a state-licensed elementary and special educator, I have had the privilege of both teaching PreK - Adult and developing programs geared toward the success of the student. I believe that learning should always serve a purpose and the students should understand the "why" behind what they are learning. As a parent, I value time with family and understand how important success for your child is. I have dedicated my career to learning tools and building relationships so that I can be the most effective educator and students can learn and grow in both academics and life-application.

As a veteran educator of 14 years, I have honed my teaching style to include and prioritize two things: relationships and the best tools/strategies for each child. Starting by gathering initial baseline information, I find it valuable to first determine student strengths, challenges, and specific goals. I use a strategic and comprehensive scope and sequence for reading intervention that is steeped in scientific research and success. Having taught online for 7 years, I have found student growth, even to grade level and beyond, using this approach. My greatest joy is growing with a student and achieving the "aha" moment, often through consistent practice and repetition. It makes the work so worth it!
