About Jazmyn
I am an Ontario Certified Teacher who has taught Kindergarten and grade 5. I have a Bachelor of Arts and Science as well as by Bachelor of Education. My teachable are: Geography and English. However, I have taught all subjects. I am passionate about Mathematics, Earth Sciences, and Healthy Living. In addition, I have passed the Mathematics exam with a 98%. I have an unwavering commitment to student success, life-long learning, encouraging student voice, and creating educational experiences that are accessible and engaging for all student.

From experience teaching I have found what methods work best for myself and previous students. However, all students are different individuals and require different methods. First, differentiation is a key method as not all students are at the same level. Students will all need different lessons, manipulatives, an lesson structure to succeed. Second, Inquiry-based instruction is very beneficial as it allows student voice as well helps students find what they’re passionate about. Third, visualization brings academics concepts to life. In addition, this allows the student to see how they can apply their schooling in the real-world.
It is very important to get to know your student. Therefore, I base my classes on each individual student. I find out their passions which enables me to create lessons that will keep them engaged, successful, and makes learning fun.
Being flexible is an important role of being an educator. Therefore, all my classes are extremely flexible as it is important to make sure the student understands the concept before moving on.
