About Shabana
Hi, I’m Shabana — an Aerospace Engineering student at RMIT University with a strong passion for Mathematics and helping young learners build confidence.
I am currently a Primary Math Tutor with EzyMath Tutoring and serve as a STEM Ambassador at RMIT University. I have also worked as a Head Teacher with Code Camp, where I delivered engaging lessons to primary school students in structured classroom settings.
Through these roles, I have developed a patient, organized and supportive teaching style. I am comfortable working with different learning abilities and adapting explanations so each student feels understood and capable.
My background in Engineering has given me strong mathematical foundations and disciplined problem-solving skills, which I bring into every lesson. I focus on breaking concepts down into clear, simple steps so students build understanding — not just memorize methods.
I hold a valid Working With Children Check and prioritize creating a calm, professional and encouraging learning environment.
My goal is to help students strengthen their mathematical foundations while developing long-term confidence.

My lessons are structured, supportive and designed to make maths feel clear and achievable for primary school students.
Each session runs for 60 minutes online and typically includes:
• A short revision warm-up
• Clear explanation of the topic using simple step-by-step methods
• Guided practice questions
• Independent practice to build confidence
• Encouraging feedback and correction
I focus on breaking concepts down into manageable steps so students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence at their own pace.
As a current Aerospace Engineering student at RMIT University, I bring strong mathematical foundations and structured problem-solving skills into every lesson. I also have experience tutoring senior Mathematics students online, teaching coding to primary students, and mentoring high school students in STEM programs
These experiences have helped me develop patience, adaptability and the ability to explain concepts in different ways depending on the student’s learning style.
My lessons are designed for primary school students (Years 1–6) who:
• Need support strengthening foundational maths skills
• Feel stuck or lack confidence
• Want structured homework guidance
• Benefit from friendly, patient encouragement
