About Ifra
Hi, I’m Ifra. I offer online Math and Science lessons for students in Grades 1-4. I enjoy working with young learners and helping them build confidence, understand school topics, and improve step-by-step.
I have a strong academic background in Math and Science, with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Calgary. My studies included advanced Math and Science subjects, which gave me a strong foundation in problem-solving, logical thinking, and scientific concepts.
My lessons are patient, friendly, and focused on understanding. I use examples, worksheets, guided practice, and step-by-step explanations to help students learn at their own pace. I can support children with Math topics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, time, directions, patterns, and word problems, as well as Science topics such as plants, animals, the human body, energy, the sun, matter, weather, and habitats.
What sets my lessons apart is my focus on making children feel comfortable while learning. I believe students learn better when they are encouraged to ask questions, practice without pressure, and understand why an answer makes sense.
My lessons are suitable for Grade 1-4 students who need homework help, extra practice, and school curriculum support, in Math and Science.

Hi, I’m Ifra. I offer online Maths and Science lessons for students in Grades 1–4, with a focus on helping young learners build strong basics, confidence, and clear understanding.
My teaching approach is patient, simple, and step by step. I explain each concept in a way children can easily follow, using examples, worksheets, and guided practice. I believe young students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and when difficult topics are broken down into smaller, manageable steps.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what the child is learning at school or where they are struggling. Then we work through the topic together using clear examples, practice questions, and homework style exercises. At the end of the lesson, I review the key points and give the child a chance to practise independently so I can check their understanding.
I can support students with Maths topics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, time, directions, patterns, and word problems. I also help with Science topics such as plants, animals, the human body, energy, the sun, matter, weather, habitats, and basic science concepts.
What sets my lessons apart is that I focus not only on completing the work, but also on helping children understand why the answer makes sense. My goal is to build confidence, reduce learning stress, and help students improve step by step.
These lessons are suitable for Grade 1-4 students who need homework help, extra practice, support with school curriculum topics, in Maths and Science.
