About Helena
My name is Helena and I have a degree in English Philology from the University of Seville and I have a Master's degree in Linguistics and Teaching of English from the University of Leeds. In recent years I have had the opportunity to complement my studies with various work experiences; I have worked as a conversation assistant in a primary school in Scotland, as an English teacher for children and adults in an academy in Seville and as a coordinator of a Spanish group at the University of Leeds. More recently I have also started working in the online environment, and although it is a challenge, the truth is that I believe that it can be more beneficial than harmful if you take advantage of it.

When it comes to teaching, I am a very versatile teacher who tries to adapt to the needs of her students as much as possible. I really like to include a variety of activities in each class, with the aim of achieving more dynamic and complete classes in which students work on more than one skill. Something that I think characterizes my classes is that they are very interactive and have a strong oral component. This also includes activities more focused on the practice of pronunciation and familiarization with phonetics, as I believe that it is something key to increase the self-esteem and confidence of the students.
