About Samuel
As a drum instructor with about 7 years of experience, and 20 years since I started my journey as a drummer, I’ve had the opportunity to perform, record, tour and jam a little bit around the world with multiple bands with different styles of music and performed in all stage sizes.
As an instructor I'm aware that learning drums can be overwhelming and frustrating without the right guidance and a clear goal. With so many resources, from books, Youtube videos and workshops, it’s easy to get lost without knowing how, where or when to apply it. This can happen at any stage of your development as a musician.
I teach from 6-year-old aspiring professionals drummers to 50 year old who have a big passion for music, want to have a hobby and escape the routine. Understanding your goals is crucial for me to keep you motivated and ensure that we’re working on the right direction!

My approach focuses on customised lessons that balance consistency and progress with joy and motivation. To ensure a steady development I created a '10 Drum Levels' plan for all my students, which provides a structure to guarantee that you go from the very first baby steps of drumming to learn how to read, play and perform music from rock to funk, jazz and latin music.
Here’s what to expect from my lessons:
- CUSTOMIZED LESSONS: Tailored based on your goal, interest and learning style
- MONTHLY PROGRESS REPORTS: A PDF summary of the material covered, including drum books we used, exercises, techniques and genre of music we're working on. This will give you a clear visual understanding of your monthly progress.
- ON GOING SUPPORT: Access to my email and/or WhatsApp available 24/7 for questions, feedback and share information or content like educational links or videos

Perfect! I’ve had a great experience learning the drums with Sam. He’s incredibly patient and kind, which makes lessons feel comfortable and encouraging, especially when you’re just starting out. He does a really good job of breaking things down and explaining concepts in a way that actually sticks. I also really appreciate the videos he has sent after lessons that make it so much easier to practice and remember what I learned and keep improving between sessions. I’ve learned so much from him and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to learn drums.
