Hello all!
For 10 years I have been shaping the minds of our future in schools and private nurseries in the UK and overseas. One big part of comprehension is having a sufficient vocabulary, or knowing the meanings of enough words. Readers who have strong comprehension are able to draw conclusions about what they read – what is important, what is a fact, what caused an event to happen, which characters are funny.
During this weekly online class your child will learn how to master answering comprehension questions and prepare for SATS & 11+. Children will be taught how to identify and summarise the main idea, compare & contrast, identify supporting facts and details, make inferences & draw conclusions, predict outcomes, recognise fact & opinion, sequence of events, and identifying the author’s purpose and point of view.
