About Ioana
I am a dancer, and movement was part of my life since I was 5 years old. I also studied music for many years, and along with movement, it helps me express myself, process my emotions, communicate, and have fun.
I have experience with various dance styles, but what I love the most now are the Cuban dances: salsa, rumba, afro, chachachá etc. They helped me find and express my feminine part, and at the same time release my emotions. So I think dancing is much more than learning steps (that’s very important), it’s also feeling and letting go.
- EXPERIENCE -
I have trained with some of the best Cuban teachers: Yeni Molinet, Yunaisy Farray and Danger Rodríguez, Diana Rodríguez, Osmani Segura, Yoandy Villaurrutia and more.

I work with women, men, couples, and with all levels, it depends on what you are looking for.
Cuban Salsa in couple / alone
Depending on your level, we begin by understanding the dynamics of the music and the movement of the dance that you want to learn, this is the basis of a good dancer. We also learn individual and couple steps.
Salsa ladies style
Depending on your level, we start with understanding the dynamics of music and the movement for women in salsa. We focus on exercises to release stress from the body and truly enjoy and celebrate movement. We learn single steps and musicality, adding more steps to your repertoire with each class, if you decide to take more classes. We finish with a choreography for your level.
Rumba
Depending on your level, we learn the basic movement of Afro-Cuban dance, how it is different from salsa, and how to incorporate it into your dance. If you are more advanced or want to learn pure rumba, we focus more on learning different steps, combination of steps, choreography, and movement.
