About Tarik
I am a FIDE Master and a professional chess player who plays in the Turkish Super League. I have also been teaching chess for 7 years to pupils of various ages and levels. I also write for a chess magazine and several chess websites as well as doing YouTube streams on chess regularly.

Chess is a discipline that requires active learning. So lessons are more useful when they're focused on problem-solving. I am building the lesson structure on active learning and the last 10 minutes are spared for practical play. On the other hand, if there is a special subject you want to work on, it's also possible for us to focus just on that topic. Of course, I'll give you assignments after each lesson and expect your full commitment.

Tarik is an extremely knowledgeable teacher that is great at communicating complex ideas in digestible ways. He makes sure that his students understand why they are learning concepts instead of just mindless memorization. Tarik cares about his pupils' comprehension of the material he teaches.
