About Omid
Hi, I’m Omid, a professional pianist and handpan player from Iran.
I’m 32 years old, and I started learning piano professionally at the age of five. Piano has always been my main instrument, and over the years, I’ve developed a strong background in music, performance, and music education.
About seven years ago, I discovered the handpan, and it quickly became another important part of my musical journey. Today, I teach handpan to many students and help them discover their own musical voice through this beautiful instrument.
Whether you have a musical background or have never played an instrument before, you can start from zero. My lessons are designed to take you step by step—from learning the basics and playing your first notes to improvising, creating your own music, and expressing your emotions freely through the handpan.
My goal is not just to teach you how to play the handpan. I want to help you truly understand the instrument, feel comfortable with it, and eventually create music that is uniquely yours.
I offer personalized one-on-one online handpan lessons, tailored to your level, goals, and musical interests.

Let’s Make Music That’s Truly Yours
Before we start, we’ll have a short first session to get to know each other and understand your goals.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or already play handpan, I’ll create a personalized path for you—from your very first notes to improvisation, creating your own music, and expressing yourself freely.
At the beginning we start with a method book to learn the theory basics, the notes and symbols, sight reading skills, understand the rhythm and learn the complete playing techniques. Then we move on to learn the advanced improvisation techniques and playing styles that will be completely useful for all kinds of handpans rather 9 notes to 21 notes and etc.
