About Sara
I have worked at a number of teaching positions as a Secondary Mathematics teacher in the last 14 years and have tutored both Spanish and Maths for over years. Prior to this I worked in a primary school for two years. My philosophy regarding teaching and education is rooted in a traditional manner, in terms of academic excellence, whereby I believe children should be motivated beyond the acquisition of knowledge but to nurture an inquisitive mind that can deal with the enormous amounts of information they are exposed to in everyday life.

Sara is an extremely dedicated maths teachers who has got invaluable classroom and tutoring experience for KS3 and KS4. I have been working with her for the past 7 years at the UCL Academy and have seen the progress all her classes make towards reaching their highest potentials. I highly recommend her for boosting students confidence in mathematics.
Sara has been a tutor for over 20 years. She is attentive and dynamic, making even the most boring maths topics interesting. Sara taylors the each lesson to the students needs and has helped some students jump 2 KS2 levels in 6 months. As an exam marker, she understands the marking system very well and is especially valuable at helping students bup up a level and gain that extra understanding and extra points in exams.
I have worked with Sara for 6 years, most recently in my capacity as head of maths. Sara is an extremely experienced, dedicated and passionate maths teacher and tutor. She is highly effective when working with students one a one to one or small group basis as she believe knowing the students strengths and weaknesses allows for the most impactful teaching. Sara is very experienced at teaching GCSE maths at both higher and foundation tier and has a strong track record of proven results.
