About Arthur
Having studied for A-levels in Maths, Chemistry, R.S. and Music, I am now taking a year out before attending University of York to study philosophy. I've just got back from a few months of working abroad in Croatia and am looking to keep my mind sharp with some academic work. I am passionate about helping people, and as such have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring in the past. I particularly enjoy maths because I find it relatively easy and highly rewarding to explain concepts to my students. I am planning to take elective modules in maths alongside my degree, as I find it very enjoyable. I play a number of instruments and I find there are a lot of connections between maths and music. I have a wide range of hobbies on top of academics and music, such as football, swimming, running and cooking just to name a few. I find this helps me find common ground with my students which helps to develop a trusting relationship.

I am Arthur, and I am an experienced tutor of Maths at GCSE level. I have also tutored in R.S., Chemistry and Music. I usually teach online, using a combination of Past Paper questions, and exercises based on individual need. I usually design these questions to suit my students' interests, wherever possible. I have received a great deal of positive feedback for my ability to maintain a calm, positive demeanour with students whilst remaining on task, as well as my adaptability according to how you learn. For most GCSE students, I find a 45-minute session is perfect, but I am open to discussing what best suits you. If you are looking for classes from Year 7 onwards, I can design shorter lessons to accommodate you. I offer a free 20-minute taster session for us to get to know each other before we proceed.
