About Oksana
I’m a dedicated and patient maths tutor with a passion for helping students build confidence and truly understand maths — not just memorise formulae. I work with students of different abilities, from those who feel stuck or anxious about maths to high achievers aiming for top grades. I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style. Whether it’s building strong foundations, catching up on missed topics, or preparing for exams, I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students can ask questions freely. My goal is simple: to make maths feel manageable, logical, and even enjoyable. With regular practice and the right guidance, every student can improve — and I’m here to help make that happen. As a student learning maths and science growing up, one thing that cemented my knowledge and success in these areas was the determination to learn the basic principles of the problem. Understanding is the key to problem solving and allows you to solve any question thrown at you. With me, in 1 hour lessons, you'll learn to grasp these principles. I have a strong background in Maths and Science, achieving A*s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics GCSEs and went on to achieve my A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Philosophy and an AS in Chemistry. I completed my academic journey with a degree in Astrophysics (2:1) and a Masters in Management of Intellectual Property. I have taught GCSE Maths and Physics since my graduation and I hope you feel confident in my ability to take your academics to the next level.
