I offer specialized tutoring in Organic Chemistry I & II, Biochemistry, and their lab components, helping students master complex concepts with clarity and confidence.

Alexis brings a positive attitude and many helpful resources to each tutoring session. He was punctual and flexible with scheduling and gave great feedback throughout our time together. I had so much practice material in between sessions that I finally felt prepared for my organic chemistry I final. I also appreciated that he was open to me contacting him in between sessions to answer any questions. My only regret was not finding him sooner.

I had the pleasure of meeting Alexis in 2020 during the Excellence in Cardiovascular Sciences internship at Wake Forest School of Medicine. A few of us in the program bonded over our shared goal of pursuing medical school, but Alexis and I stayed in close contact—perhaps in part because we share the same name! I vividly remember a conversation about chemical reactions where he used a cheeseburger analogy to help me understand how certain elements "prefer" to bond with others. He asked what I always remove from a cheeseburger (tomatoes), and from there, he likened an element in a reaction to my "hated" ingredient. That moment stuck with me, and it’s a perfect example of how Alexis ensures that lessons are both effective and personalized.

Beyond his knowledge and teaching skills, Alexis is incredibly patient and supportive. As I prepare for my MCAT, he has been a reliable mentor—always ready to answer my questions, provide clear explanations, and offer words of encouragement. He never makes you feel bad for not knowing something and instead fosters a positive and motivating learning environment.
