About Naima
I am a certified educator in the state of New York. I have been in the classroom teaching students across grades 6-8 for the past6 years and have worked over the last 2 years to develop and coach new teachers. In allI love teaching. It is my passion to watch others learn a skill, hone that skill, then master it as they progress in their knowledge. I currently hold a bachelors degree in English and Education and a masters degree in teaching. Outside of the classroom, I love to read, explore new places and dance.

Learning happens best when it is fun and you can easily identify your strengths and areas of growth. Regardless of age all learners enjoy competition which is a foundational part of my lessons. I focus on using the experiences in the competions as data that is tracked throughout our classes. You will always have an understanding of where your academic strengths are and know the areas of growth for the week ahead. Our time will start with a quick warm up, mini lesson, and end with a time for you to practice and compete in order to show your growth.
My lessons are for anyone who is need of additional support in the learning level.
For elementary-high school level, I work with reluctant learners who tend to be 1-3 years behind reading level.
For adult learners, we can work to sharpen skills that haven't been utilized since your time in primary school.
