About Andrea
I am a seasoned Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Expert, with a rich educational and professional background spanning both the UK and the USA.
After graduating from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London in 2007, I founded The Nutrition Helpline, an online private practice providing nutritional advice and consultations.
My passion for advancing nutritional knowledge led me to move to the United States in 2011, where I became actively involved with the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.
Starting as a volunteer Board Secretary, my commitment and expertise saw me progress to the role of Editor, and I later served as the Head of Education.
In this capacity, I reviewed and approved educational curriculums and programs submitted for continuing education, ensuring they met our educational requirements, scope of practice and effectively served our professional practitioners needs.
Additionally, I hosted a monthly webinar series featuring expert speakers, whom I personally vetted. These sessions were designed to supplement the foundational knowledge our members received in their formal studies, keeping them abreast of the latest developments and innovative practices in the field of holistic nutrition and functional medicine.
In 2020, I returned to the UK and assumed the role of Chair of the Association of Naturopathic Professionals.
During my tenure, I was responsible for overseeing a membership of 4,000 practitioners, seeking to enhance their professional skills through continuing education.
Through my work, I strive to bridge the gap between traditional education and ongoing professional development, ensuring that professionals in the field are equipped to offer science-backed care and advice.
