About Jeongann
Hi! I'm Jeongann, a Master's student at NUS. I have a passion for making science clear and confidence-boosting for students. I’ve taught IB Biology, math, and English to students aged 10–17 across Singapore, Korea, and Australia, both online and in person. My teaching style is patient, structured, and tailored. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all learning. Whether you're preparing for an exam or struggling with a specific topic, I’ll help you break it down step by step until it makes sense. I aim not just to improve grades, but to help students feel capable and in control of their learning by helping build healthy study habits and confidence. With experience from tutoring, science outreach, and curriculum design, I bring both subject knowledge and teaching skills.

1. Teaching Style I focus on understanding of the subject and building student confidence and healthy study habits. I break down complex topics using analogies and visuals, and I tailor my explanations to each student’s learning style. I emphasize active recall, question-based learning, and step-by-step guidance using practice questions and real-life past papers. 2. Lesson Format Lessons are usually 1.5 hours, with time for review, concept teaching, and practice. For younger students, I can adjust to shorter, focused sessions. 3. Experience & Qualifications I’m an NUS Master's student studying pharmaceutical science. In my undergraduate studies, I majored in Biotechnology with a minor in Bioengineering at HKUST. I’ve tutored students aged 10–17 in IB Biology, math, and English across Singapore, Korea, and Australia. I also interned at Big Bang Academy, where I developed STEM lessons and taught in summer camps for younger students aged 3-12. 4. Who I Teach I work with upper primary to high school students, especially those in the IB curriculum or those who need support making science and math more approachable!
