About Tricia
Hi! My name is Tricia and I am an honors nursing student with a 90+ average and a graduate of the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program. I also have experience working in healthcare settings across Canada, which allows me to connect classroom concepts to real-world patient care.
I specialize in helping high school and health science students understand challenging subjects like Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, nursing theory, healthcare communication, and elderly care. My goal is to make complex topics easier to understand by breaking them down into simple explanations, visual learning strategies, and practical examples.
Whether you are preparing for exams, struggling with a difficult concept, or looking to strengthen your understanding of healthcare topics, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that helps you build confidence and succeed.

My tutoring approach focuses on simplifying complex nursing and health science concepts so you can clearly understand and apply them. I use visual explanations, diagrams, real-life healthcare examples, and step-by-step breakdowns to make difficult topics more manageable. I encourage active learning through questions, discussion, and practice problems so you can build confidence and truly understand the material rather than relying on memorization.
At the start of each session, we review your goals, challenges, or upcoming exams. We then work through key concepts together using clear explanations and examples. I often incorporate practice questions or case examples to reinforce learning. At the end of the session, we summarize the key points and create a short study plan to support your continued review.
What sets me apart is my combination of academic knowledge and real healthcare experience. I completed my Personal Support Worker (PSW) program and am currently continuing my nursing education as an honours student with a 90+ average. I also have experience working in healthcare settings across Canada. This allows me to connect theory to real patient care situations and explain concepts in practical ways that make sense for healthcare students. I focus on creating a supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.
My lessons are designed for high school students as well as students in healthcare-related programs such as nursing, PSW, pre-health sciences, and other health programs. I support learners studying subjects such as Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, healthcare communications, nursing theory, and elderly care. My tutoring is especially helpful for high school students and first- or second-year post-secondary students building foundational knowledge in health sciences.
