About Xu
I am a dedicated and experienced private tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience in Mathematics and Science for Primary School and PSLE students in Singapore. Over the years, I have worked with students of different learning abilities and academic backgrounds, helping them strengthen their foundations, improve their grades, and build confidence in their studies.
I believe that every student has the ability to improve when taught with patience, proper guidance, and effective learning techniques. My lessons are carefully structured to ensure students fully understand concepts before moving on to more advanced questions and examination techniques. I focus not only on academic improvement, but also on helping students develop confidence, discipline, and independent learning skills.
As an MOE-educated tutor and NTU Honors graduate, I understand the Singapore education system and the academic expectations students face. My teaching methodology combines concept explanation, guided practice, exam-oriented strategies, and consistent revision to help students achieve steady progress.

I am an experienced private tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience helping students improve their understanding, confidence, and examination performance in Mathematics and Science. I specialize in teaching Primary School and PSLE students in Singapore.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundations while helping students master effective answering techniques and problem-solving strategies. I believe every student learns differently, so I customize my lessons according to each student’s learning pace, strengths, and weaknesses. I also provide structured practice, exam-focused guidance, and clear explanations to help students fully understand concepts instead of simply memorizing answers.
Lessons are usually between 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the student’s level and learning needs. During lessons, I combine concept teaching, guided practice, and revision techniques to ensure students stay engaged and improve consistently.
I am MOE-educated and hold an Honors degree from NTU. Over the years, I have taught students from different academic levels, including students preparing for PSLE examinations. Many of my students have shown improvements in both their grades and confidence after attending lessons regularly.
