As an 8-10 grade math and science teacher, my teaching style focuses on developing conceptual knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and confidence. I establish an engaging, inclusive learning environment where students are comfortable to experiment and make mistakes. Through real-life examples, visual representations, and technology, I relate abstract ideas to everyday life. Peer discussions and collaborative activities promote critical thinking, while differentiated activities address varying learning needs. Practice and frequent feedback solidify mastery, and I promote a growth mindset to overcome math anxiety. My intent is to instill curiosity, provide students with useful skills, and prepare them for more challenging tasks, that they may find math empowering and applicable.
