About Polly
I received my Master of Arts in Dance Studies and Cultural Anthropology from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study in 2023. Prior to this, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in 2018, with a minor in Art History. I have been passionate about academics since I can remember. At the beginning of high school, I had to make a decision whether to finish high school online and join a ballet company, or finish high school in person and pursue dance in college. For me, I could not imagine a world where I was not deeply engaged with masters of their respective fields in both the arts and academia, so I chose the latter route and have not looked back since.

I have extensive experience working with high school juniors and seniors on college preparedness. I specialize in college essays, résumés, and artistic portfolios for national and international universities. I have been interested in this area since high school when I became one of the first tutors at our school's writing center. Additionally, I have been working for six years as a resume and cover letter writer and editor. From high school students applying to college, college students applying to internships and jobs, and young professionals in both the business and creative sectors, I have been able to assist applicants with their materials in order to stand out and achieve their goals.

Polly is a patient, skilled, and fun dance teacher, and my kids love her. They have improved so much since working with her and are always excited for days that they have dance.
