About Thomas
I am a dedicated and experienced tutor with a strong academic background in biology, chemistry, and mathematics - helping students up to GCSE level gain confidence and excel in their subjects. Having studied in both an international school and a boarding school, I have experienced a wide range of teaching styles and academic expectations. This diverse education has given me a global perspective, strong adaptability, and a deep understanding of different curriculums, including IGCSE, GCSE, and other British-based syllabi - where I also achieved all 9s/A*s in the relevant subjects at GCSE. My approach to tutoring is clear, structured, and engaging, tailored to suit the unique needs of each student. Having experienced the rigour of both international and UK boarding school education, I understand the pressures students face and know what it takes to excel. My goal is to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students can ask questions freely, develop independence, and master their subjects. I am an experienced tutor offering engaging, structured, and effective lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. With a strong academic background in related fields, I can help students understand key concepts and develop their own critical thinking skills needed to apply knowledge effectively in exams. Would be delighted to teach students from Year 7 to GCSE (Ages 11-16). Lessons can last up to an hour (though this can be adjusted based on the student's needs).
