About Finley
My names Fin, I'm a TEFL level 5 qualified native speaker that loves teaching. I have taught a wide range of subjects and worked with a wide range of students in terms of ability, culture and age. I also love travelling and immersing myself in cultures that are different to my own, which is why I have taught in a number of countries and plan to continue doing so.
I have 30 5* reviews on native camp, an online english tutoring platform.
My teaching style is very interactive and supportive so students can expect to be engaged, to learn a lot and also have fun while doing so. In my approach, I also bring kindness, patience, encouragement, as these traits are just part of who I am.
So, if the student wants to build confidence, increase their knowledge and proficiency in english in an effective way, while also enjoying doing so, you have come to the right place. I do hope to hear from you.

My lessons are for students of any age wanting learn english as a second language (any level).
My qualifications and experience:
- currently teach english and science at a high school in Thailand
- have bachelors degree in Neuroscience
- have TEFL level 5 qualification.
- have experience leading classes in: english, maths, science and cultural studies for students aged 8-13 in Ghana and India.
- have experience tutoring english online with Native Camp to students aged 5-55+.
- currently work in a special education school in the UK, working with students who have moderate to profound learning difficulties, diagnosed with neurological conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, downs syndrome and epilepsy.
some information about my teaching style:
-will first do a questionnaire to discover the starting level of the student in terms of what content has been covered and their strengths and weaknesses, targets for the tutoring, as well as individual needs and preferences.
- very interactive and engaging teaching style, based off of the communicative approach. Will also use enhanced spaced repetition with elicitation and concept checking (but will adapt to fit student).
- adherence to required curriculum/specification if necessary
- assessments done to measure improvements in target areas as agreed with student
- highly flexible: lessons can be tailored to the individual student's needs and preferences in terms of content, length and frequency of lessons etc

However I can tell you objectively that I have watched him over the years interacting with other people both younger and older and seen how he has a natural ability to communicate and coach others. Not only does he have the patience and skill to do this but perhaps more illuminating, is his passion and interest in teaching others. That’s the extra you’ll be getting.
I’ve known Finley since he was born. He’s very motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely cares about bringing the best out of people. He’s also always studying and is very knowledgeable ! I’d recommend him as a tutor without reservation.
Finley is a good tutor due to his dedication to his work and helping others understand.He also has helped me find interest in subjects that i thought were hard and gave me many coping mechanisms with the equations.
