About Rachel
With a background in professional writing, education, and communication, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every tutoring session. I’ve worked in roles requiring clear, effective communication and strong organizational skills—experience that translates directly into how I support students in writing and history. I take a thoughtful, personalized approach, creating a supportive environment where students feel heard, encouraged, and capable. Whether we're tackling an essay or unpacking a historical concept, my goal is to help each student feel confident in their skills and proud of their progress. Professional, reliable, and committed to your success—I’m here to help you grow, learn, and thrive.

Whether your student needs help remembering dates and names, understanding historical events, or improving their historical essays, I tailor each session to fit their learning style and needs. My goal is to make complex topics feel approachable and fun, while helping students build strong foundational skills they can carry into the classroom and beyond.
I work with students of all levels, from those who need a little extra guidance to those looking to take their critical thinking to the next level. With a friendly, supportive approach, I focus on building confidence as much as academic ability.
Let’s work together to help your child feel more capable, curious, and excited to learn!

Rachel is a classically trained freelance writer who finds a lot of joy in teaching through engaging storytelling. She studied to teach English before deciding to seriously pursue writing, so Rachel can provide the perfect blend of a professional eye with a conversation-focused pedagogical approach. And don’t get me started on her ability to take dry historical events and spin them into an exciting, relatable story—she’s truly remarkable!
