About Faria
I am an A-level student, wanting to teach in order to help others better understand topics in which they struggle. I have personally experienced teachers who would constantly say 'you don't need to know that' when someone wants to explore often beyond what we are taught in textbooks, and give up on students who don't respond to their style of teaching. Because of this I want to create a safe and growing environment in which students can explore their curiosities and develop a growth mindset, which in turn will lead to better grades and a balanced school-personal life.

The most important aspect of teaching is based around the personalisation of the lesson to the students' abilities. As the teacher I would identify the strengths and weaknesses of the students in order to produce effective and challenging lessons, which contribute to their understanding and gain in knowledge. Furthermore, comprehension of the foundation of mathematical and scientific topics is key, to be able to use the same principles in a range of modules, from skills-based questions to problem solving, recall questions and essays. I will aid the development of these skills in my students by gradually introducing them to relevant concepts, and ensuring their understanding by encouraging daily practice through homework.

Faria is a great tutor I was lucky to meet. With her on my side, I was able to get a higher grade than my predicted grade for Maths. She’s patient, helpful and supportive in every way. Could have not asked for a better tutor than her! 10/10
During gcses, i was struggling with grade 8/9 topics in maths. Faria helped me by explaining thoroughly how to work questions out and i was able to enter the maths exams with full confidence. I was able to go up 2 grades from my predicted result.
Faria is an excellent tutor who goes out of their way to ensure the student ,she is teaching, fully understands the concepts and topics they previously found hard to do so. She is very patient and understanding towards the students, and can empathise with them, delivering tailored lessons. Because of this, my daughter has been doing well in her studies and is constantly improving, no longer treating homework like a chore, rather a chance to understand understand the world around her. I would 100% recommend her to other parents.
