About Matisse
I am a Natural Sciences student in college, currently in my first year of study. I explored various fields of study before pursuing sciences, but have remained a nerd and a science enthusiast throughout high school and college.
Most of my professional experience has been as a camp leader and a cub scout leader.
I currently volunteer in Shawinigan's tutoring program for high school students. And I believe the skills I have acquired through my camp and scout leading, and my tutoring experience will make me an asset to this program.
I am even willing to create songs about math, if necessary.

I like to break down difficult subjects in easy parts and use an intuitive approach to the studied concepts and principles. I question my tutee(s) a lot about the matter at hand. First to understand what is not working for them, then to figure out strategies to deal with their personal challenges. I'm also very keen on encouragement and celebrating small victories.
