About Marcel
I am a Natural Sciences student at UCL (Major: Physics, Minor: Chemistry and Materials Science). I have teaching experience both in practical and theoretical aspects, so I will be able to show you the best of both worlds.
The Spectroscopy in a Suitcase programme was an opportunity for me to practice working with groups of students and explain the practical aspects of science shown in the textbooks. When it comes to the exams and competitions, I served as a private tutor for a few people (I managed to help them to qualify to the universities of their choice and get into the next stages of competitions). Also, I gave a series of lectures on statistical mechanics on summer camps.
I try to incorporate my knowledge gained through my own studies, projects, internships, and competitions into your learning process. My aim is not only to prepare you well for the exams but also to give you a bigger picture of science.

I start with an interview with my student(s). We identify both the topics that you struggle with and you are passionate about, discussing your current situation and doing some problems together. For the next session, I prepare a teaching plan to outline topics we will be dealing with and the aims we want to achieve.
The actual study sessions have three components: first, we go through your homework set, later I give the theoretical basis for a new topic, and finally we do some problems and we discuss the practical aspects of the topic.
