About Maria
My name is Maria Tymchuk Saadeh. I am a native Ukrainian speaker, an experienced writer, and an award-winning Ukrainian-Canadian poet. I began writing poetry in childhood and have received numerous national literary awards in Ukraine. With two Master’s degrees—one in Administrative Management and another in Biology—I bring both creativity and structure to my teaching. I’ve worked in the Ukrainian Parliament, Cabinet of Ministers, and Ministry of Ecology, which has given me deep insights into language, communication, and public life. I believe language is not just grammar—it’s a doorway to culture and identity. I love helping students discover the beauty of Ukrainian through stories, poetry, and conversation.
