About Ilona
Ilona Yashkina Daszkiewicz is a poet, writer and pedagogue with over 20 years of experience. As a poet, she has been repeatedly published in competitive almanacs of the Heritage literary award, and was awarded with the Heritage Star of the III degree, the medal "Alexander Pushkin 220 years old", the medal "Anton Chekhov 160 years old", the medal "Anna Akhmatova 130 years old" and the medal "Sergei Yesenin 125 years old". Member of the Russian Writers Union.

Ilona has developed a unique method of teaching Russian language for foreigners as part of her PhD titled “Methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language”, which she has completed at the Moscow State University in 2011. Her approach is personalised for every student willing to learn Russian language as a beginner, or to improve their skills as an intermediate or advanced speaker. Ilona offers online interactive lessons using modern means of communication (Zoom or Microsoft Teams or Skype), and on-site lessons in Colchester, Essex. Ilona offers lessons based on 4 methods: - Russian for foreigners (programme developed and taught at the Moscow State University МГУ, which is suitable for levels A to C). Professional trainings - Russian for bilingual teenagers (programme developed and taught at the Israel Universities) - GCSE and A LEVEL individual tutoring - Russian for bilingual or native speaking children (developed by ФГОС) Ilona focuses on the development of grammar, phonetics and speaking equally. and is passionate about planning and delivering engaging lessons that resonate with students.
