Hola amigos!
I'm Maria, your go-to Spanish tutor with some flair. Being a native speaker, I'm all about making learning Spanish fun! If conjugations and vocabulary don't excite you, maybe throwing in some historical and cultural spice will! I have a BA from the University of Toronto where I studied History and Political Science with a focus on Latin America and European Relations.
In our sessions, we will dive into the language through real conversations and historical tales. Of course, we'll learn grammar and vocab, but it'll feel more like a chat with a friend than a lecture.
We kick off our session with a quick chat, and set the mood with a Spanish song, then dive into our main course. Then we wrap up with a high-five (virtual ones count too) and a bit of homework to keep the party going.
Why choose me? Well, I am not just a language enthusiast; I am also a Bachelors of Education candidate at the University of British Columbia. I've tutored high school students in Spanish and Social Science, and now I'm here for anyone. From teenagers prepping for exams to seniors wanting to impress their next travel destination.
