About Sebastian
Native Spanish speaker from Colombia, based in Edinburgh.
I hold an MSc in Public Policy from the University of Edinburgh and a degree in Economics. Over the past six years, I have worked as a policy analyst and researcher across government institutions and international organisations, including presenting findings at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
I currently work in childcare in Edinburgh, registered and compliant with UK safeguarding standards. Parents and students trust me with their children every day. That same reliability, patience and attention to the individual is what I bring to every lesson.
I have spent my career translating complex information into something clear and accessible for different audiences. Teaching Spanish works the same way. I meet you where you are, explain things plainly, and focus on what actually helps you communicate.

My lessons focus on modern, practical Spanish. The kind you use in real conversations, at work, or when travelling.
I am a native Spanish speaker from Colombia, with an MSc from the University of Edinburgh and over ten years working in policy and research across international organisations. I know how to explain complex ideas clearly, and I bring that same clarity to teaching.
Each lesson is shaped around you. Your level, your goals, your pace. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your fluency, I build sessions around what you actually need.
What to expect:
Real-world vocabulary and phrases you will use straight away.
Grammar explained in context, not in isolation.
Listening and speaking practice from the first lesson.
Honest, direct feedback so you improve faster.
Sessions run for 60 minutes and are available in person in Edinburgh or online. I teach teenagers and adults at all levels.
