About Janet
I am a native Spanish speaker with experience teaching conversational Spanish to people of different levels and ages. My background in design and communication has allowed me to develop a clear, practical, and human approach to teaching, where each student feels supported and confident when learning a new language. I am known for my ability to explain things simply, adapt to each student's learning pace, and create an environment where students feel listened to, motivated, and capable. My methodology is entirely conversational, practical, and focused on the real-world use of the language. In each class, I encourage students to speak Spanish from the very first minute, without pressure and without unnecessary theory. I use:

A typical 1-hour class plan
Each session follows a clear and dynamic structure:
Conversational warm-up
Simple questions to activate the language and reduce nerves.
Topic of the day
We choose a practical topic: travel, work, restaurants, family, phone calls, etc.
Guided dialogue + useful vocabulary
We practice real expressions and everyday situations with visual support.
Free conversation
The student speaks freely; I gently correct pronunciation, structures, or words.
Mini feedback and challenges for the next class
Review of progress and a quick proposal for further improvement.
