About Oscar
Hi there! I’m a first-year Management Science student at UCL with a deep passion for languages and connecting with people. Born and raised in Spain to Chinese parents, I grew up in a multilingual environment, speaking both Spanish and Chinese at home. My love for languages has only grown since then—I’ve studied French for five years (earning a DELF B1 certificate) and am currently learning Italian on Duolingo. I’m always excited to dive into the nuances of different languages and cultures, and I’d love to share my passion for Spanish with you!
I’ve been living in the UK for the past four years, and it’s been such an enriching experience. Beyond languages, I’m passionate about reading, psychology, business, and finance, and I’m always up for conversations that explore these topics. When I’m not studying or reading, you’ll probably find me at the gym—I’ve been powerlifting for four years and recently started training in MMA and Muay Thai. I’m working towards becoming an amateur fighter one day, which keeps me motivated and excited to push my limits.

My approach to tutoring is all about adapting to your needs and making language learning practical and interactive. Whether you prefer vocabulary training, flashcards, Quizlet exercises, or even tailored homework assignments, I’ll personalise each lesson to suit your learning style and goals. I believe learning a language should be as flexible and engaging as possible, so together, we’ll create a plan that works best for you.
Each lesson typically lasts an hour, but I’m happy to adjust based on your preferences and schedule. While I’m just starting my journey as a formal tutor, I’ve had plenty of informal experience teaching Spanish to peers and friends, helping them improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills. This background has given me valuable insight into what works for learners of different levels.
