About Carla
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a native Spanish speaker, I have an affinity for the Spanish language, literature, and Latin American culture. I traveled around the world, living in Argentina, the US, England, Ireland, and Belgium. As I moved every couple of years and was exposed to new languages, I adapted my method of learning and teaching languages.
I am passionate about helping students learn Spanish. I started by teaching my two children three languages, which they now speak fluently. During the past ten years, I have been teaching conversational Spanish to students of all ages. I am also an Education Assistant at the European School of Brussels. I look forward to helping you improve your Spanish oral and written expression and comprehension!

I believe a personalized approach is essential for effective language teaching, which is why I pay close attention to the needs of each individual learner. I work with each student following a carefully crafted individualized and interactive lesson plan, for students of all ages and levels. I will help you address your specific language learning goals, helping you master Spanish grammar and writing, or improve your conversational skills!
To make lessons interactive and engaging, I can optionally incorporate elements of Spanish and Latin American culture so you can improve your Spanish while learning about the many societal, literary, and scientific aspects that make the Spanish culture so unique and colorful. You will learn not only how to speak Spanish, but also how to converse like a native speaker! I can also incorporate multimedia elements, such as extracts of movies, shows, or news, in order to have interesting discussions and learn precise vocabulary.
Even though I try to hold the entire lesson in Spanish as much as possible, so that you get the most out of every session, don’t worry if you’re a beginner! I will speak and explain in your language when you don't understand. For the students who speak English, French, Italian, or Portuguese, we can have the lessons in your mother tongue if you prefer.
