About Thaïs

I am a native Spanish speaker currently studying Architecture at University, eager to support motivated students to improve their proficiency in Spanish, alongside my own studies. I understand that learning a language can be a challenging process, however I want to aid students to become confident within themselves, through positive, interactive sessions.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is friendly and supportive; personalising lessons by acknowledging individual needs and learning styles and adapting to ensure students are engaged and enjoying learning, as they develop skills they may find challenging. As a native Spanish speaker, I can help students develop their confidence in speaking, listening, writing, grammar and vocabulary expansion. Regarding exams, I can draw on my own experience of GCSE (Grade 9) and A-Level (A*) Spanish to support students through preparation, understand requirements, and help improve exam technique. Lesson length would typically last an hour, to allow for discussion and reflection at the beginning of the session, as well as enough time for plenty of practice. However I am happy to adapt lesson lengths depending on student preference and availability. Lessons are available for any age and ability, whether it be complete beginners or students preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams.
